Sunshine Seasons: Plant-based Desserts

Posted on May 24, 2020May 24, 2020 by Theme Park Anthropologist

The Sunshine Seasons bakery station in the Land pavilion is serving up some sweet, plant-based options. On one of my last visits to EPCOT, I tried two plant-based desserts, a seasonal cupcake, and a chocolate mousse cup. The seasonal cupcake is a vanilla cupcake with a blackberry filling and piled with vanilla frosting. The best part of the cupcake was definitely the blackberry filling.  I liked the tart flavor with the sweet vanilla frosting and cake. The vegan cupcake option changes often, which gives you a reason to return.

However, the winner of the two desserts was hands down the chocolate mousse cup. This option comes with layers of chocolate frosting, cake, and cookie crumbs. It was easier to get an even distribution of all the flavors than the cupcake. Plus, the chocolate mousse cup is mainly frosting, and who doesn’t want a cup of frosting?

I hope the Sunshine Seasons is still serving up delicious vegan desserts when the park reopens.
