Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort

Posted on September 11, 2021September 11, 2021 by Theme Park Anthropologist

Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort has set the bar pretty high for what a resort quick service can be. This chic cafe is serving up some pretty tasty vegan and vegetarian items too. First, I love that this spot doesn’t feel like a mall food court. I like the decor and atmosphere. It feels like a trendy little spot that you may stumble upon during a stroll.

Now let’s get to the food. The first item we tried was the Greek Salad. The salad came with tomatoes, olives, artichokes, cucumbers, onions, chickpeas, and giant chunks of feta. This salad was delicious and came in quite a substantial size. I appreciated the larger chunks of feta. All the ingredients were fresh and bountiful. If you like Greek salads, this is definitely one you’ll want to try.

Next, we tried the plant-based Grilled Vegetable Skewer. I LOVED this item. It came with harissa marinated grilled vegetables, with a plant-based yogurt, mixed greens, quinoa, and pita bread. This meal seemed almost too good to be at a quick service. I liked that the vegetables still had a fresh crunch to them. The flavors were just right. It wasn’t too bland, but not too spicy either. The size of this dish was also substantial and filling. I have to admit that we intended on sharing this item, but I selfishly ate the majority of it.

Primo Piatto is definitely worth an excursion. If you are staying at any of the skyliner resorts, it’s a quick ride over there. You could even venture out there if you wanted a break from a busy Epcot or Hollywood Studios park day. One thing to note is that this location is sometimes limited to guests staying at the resort.
