Curry Corn on the Cob at Animal Kingdom

Posted on April 18, 2020April 18, 2020 by Theme Park Anthropologist

While trekking through Africa at Animal Kingdom, you may notice Homo sapiens walking around with the most heavenly smelling corn on the cob. The sweet and spicy aroma will envelop and mesmerize you. Seriously…every time I order this snack, I have a few people ask me where I got it. You can track the origin of this delicious snack to the Harambe Fruit Market (right in front of the Harambe Safari entrance).

Here, you will find cast members grilling corn until it has those wonderful charred speckles and then they dip it in butter and sprinkle it with spices. The spice mixture is basically salt with curry. They sold me at curry!

I love that Animal Kingdom does so many creative and flavorful creations with veggies, and this snack is no exception. The curry is a little bit on the sweet side. I thought the heat from the curry is subtle and shouldn’t scare anyone away from trying it. The flavor combination of the grilled corn, butter, and spices is great as is. It didn’t need any extra salt. If you happen to visit Animal Kingdom, you should definitely be a little adventurous and try this snack.
