Should vegetarians and vegans looking for a quick service meal in Epcot’s Future World head over to Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion? The Sunshine Seasons has a food court set up similar to most of those found at the value resorts on Disney property. You can go to various stations like an Asian noodle station or sandwich station.
In addition to the stations, vegetarians and vegans have some options available to them in the “Grab n’ Go” sections as well. I noticed a vegan jackfruit lettuce wrap and vegetarian dips and salads. I was tempted to try the vegetarian dips, but opted for the vegan korma entree at Asian noodle station.
This vegan korma has a curry based sauce over meatless chick’in, cauliflower, peas, carrots and rice. I thought this dish had the right amount of spice to it. It’s taken me forever to try this dish because I didn’t care for the option that it replaced, and was afraid that this one would be too greasy like the meatless beef option that used to be here. I’m happy that I tried it. The vegan korma was filling without being too heavy. It was good, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.
Over at the bakery and sweets station, I picked up a vegan coconut pineapple cupcake. You can read my review of the vegan cupcake here. SPOILER… It was delicious!!! I hope more vegan dessert options will be made available in the future.
Sunshine Seasons is a solid option for its variety and convenience. I wouldn’t say the options here are amazing or even memorable, but it’s definitely worth a try. It’s rumored that the Sunshine Seasons menu will be getting an overhaul. I look forward to seeing what new options will be available to vegetarians and vegans.
