The Alps: Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese

Posted on October 15, 2019October 15, 2019 by Theme Park Anthropologist

Swiss cheese is my favorite kind of cheese.  So, I was elated to head over to the Alps at the 2019 Food and Wine Festival to try the new Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese dish.  This dish comes with potatoes, pickles, and a couple of slices of baguette. The cool part of this item is that you get to watch the chef shave off warm Swiss from a large wheel of cheese.  The cheese was great, but it cooled too quickly to really get a good spread on the bread. I only really enjoyed the cheese on this dish. Everything else was bland, and the baguette was stale.  I wanted to love the Warm Raclette Swiss dish, but it was a disappointment. I’d only recommend this to someone who wanted to try the cheese, but that would be $5 to try a small portion of it. I don’t plan on returning for another plate during this year’s festival.
