Missing Tangierine Cafe? Try the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread

Posted on January 16, 2021January 2, 2021 by Theme Park Anthropologist

I miss Tangierine Cafe. It was my go to spot whenever I visited EPCOT. I knew I would get a filling meal that was big on flavor for a relatively cheap price. My favorite dish was the falafel wrap. The vegetable platter was also delicious. With that location gone (for now), I have found the next best meal to be at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. Here in this space oasis, you’ll find the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread.

While this dish doesn’t quite stack up to the falafel wrap at Tangierine Cafe, it does come pretty close. This dish is served with plant-based meatballs, pita, hummus, and tomato and cucumber relish. The pita, hummus, and tomato-cucumber relish was very reminiscent of Tangierine Cafe and very tasty. I thought the kefta was good too, it had a nice spice blend that gave it Middle East flare. However, with the rising popularity of Beyond and Impossible meets, I have to admit that I get a little bit of a faux meat fatigue when I am at the theme parks lately. This dish would have moved from good to great if the meatballs were falafels instead.
