In a tranquil Japanese garden at EPCOT, you’ll find a little quick service nestled on top a “hill.” Katsura Grill offers a quiet little spot with lots of shady garden seating to rest and relax during your journey around the world. This spot has a couple of small items for vegans and vegetarians. My go-to item is usually the vegetable sushi, It’s not the best vegan sushi that I’ve ever had, but it’s a nice little snack to have while taking in the sights and sounds of the Japan pavilion.

The sushi is the standard cucumber, avocado and carrot variety. Vegans and vegetarians will also find edamame and steamed rice here as well. When Disney announced that more plant-based options would be made available in the parks, I was hoping this location might receive a new item or two. I would love to get a curry dish or noodle bowl here. If the menu had some more exotic offerings for vegans and vegetarians, I would eat at Katsura Grill all the time. But for now, it’s the place that I go to when I need a snack and a zen filled rest.
