ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios might not have the most interesting atmosphere (it’s no Docking Bay 7), but the menu is anything but boring. Here, vegans and vegetarians can find one of the best plant-based burgers on property as well as the new-ish Curry Rice Bowl with Tofu. This dish was delicious! I seriously contemplated ordering another one after I was finished.
The Curry Rice Bowl is a tomato-based curry with garden vegetables, pineapple, tofu, and served with jasmine rice. It’s a bit reminiscent of the Curried Vegetable Crew’s Stew over at Jungle Skipper Canteen. Everything in the dish was cooked to perfection. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The vegetables were still firm and fresh, and the spices were just right (not too spicy or bland).
The Curry Rice Bowl is a great option for adventurous eaters who might be getting a bit bored with the faux-meat options on property. Sometimes a simple dish of vegetables and tofu hit the spot (if cooked right). This dish is a winner.
I have been thoroughly impressed with the menu at ABC Commissary. It’s become my new favorite quick service. The food is fresh and flavorful and easy on the wallet (for Disney). ABC Commissary is currently only open from 10 am-4:30 pm. I would highly recommend making this your lunch spot on your next visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
