As a vegetarian, there usually aren’t too many Casey’s Corner specials for me to try. However, they are currently serving up loaded fried pickle fries. These fries are served with fried pickles, cheese, sautéed red and green peppers, green onions and a chipotle ranch. I love pickles and was intrigued to try this one.
Normally I would use mobile ordering, but it was down the day I ventured in to try these fries. After a very stressful 45 minutes, I finally had my order! The fries and pickles were room temperature and there were only four fried pickles. Since it had been sitting awhile, the fries were a little soggy from the peppers and cheese.
The flavor combination was actually really good despite these complaints. I think this would have been amazing if it was served hot and more generous with the pickles. I’m glad I finally found a specialty item to try, but I wouldn’t wait 45 minutes to get it again.
