The Magic Kingdom now offers three new character inspired soft serve cones. They’re all Dole soft serve and dairy free without any of the embellishments. All thee are unique and delicious, but which one of these Disneybounding cones is the best? Here’s a break down of each of them.
Lost Princess Cone
The Lost Princess Cone can be found at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland. The Tangled inspired treat is a lemon soft serve in a purple cone and adorned with edible flowers. I like the simplicity of the presentation. It was beautiful to look at and the easiest to photograph. The lemon was a refreshing flavor, like an Italian ice. This is great on a hot day when you crave a cool lemonade and ice cream at the same time.
Adventure Is Out There Cone
The Adventure Is Out There Cone is located at Auntie Gravity’s in Tomorrowland. This was by far the most colorful and whimsical of the three cones, but how did it taste? The Adventure Is Out There Cone uses a mango soft serve as its base and has milk chocolate balloons attached to it. The mango was super sweet and the chocolate added even more sweetness. I personally prefer a little tart, so this one was my least favorite as far as taste goes.
Hei Hei Cone
The Hei Hei Cone is served at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. It’s a raspberry and pineapple soft serve with a sour candy strip and white chocolate eyes. I thought the flavor combination on this one was amazing. The raspberry and pineapple went well together. The white chocolate and sour candy didn’t feel too out of place like the milk chocolate on the Adventure Is Out There Cone. The Hei Hei Cone wasn’t very pretty. It was little awkward to look at, but I kind of liked that. It captured Hei Hei’s personality!
The Winner
After a stomach full of soft serve (for research purposes of course!), I came to the conclusion that I would order most of these flavors again. Is there a way they could combine them into one magical cone? I would love a Rainbow Connection Cone with lemon, lime, orange, and raspberry over in the Muppet Courtyard at Hollywood Studios. Who do I speak to about that?
Any ways… If I have to choose a winner, I think the Lost Princess Cone was the prettiest, but my favorite was the Hei Hei Cone. Not only did this treat visually capture the character’s strange and awkward personality, but it was also a delicious flavor combination.
Which treat is your favorite? What character cone would you like to see next?
