Africa: Spicy Kenyan Vegan Githeri

Posted on September 27, 2019September 27, 2019 by Theme Park Anthropologist

The Spicy Kenyan Vegan Githeri at the 2019 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival was the item that I was looking forward to trying the most. It didn’t disappoint. Africa served up a curry rice pilaf dish with white beans, pigeon peas, and kachumbari slaw. I really enjoy the flavor combination.  The curry wasn’t too strong or spicy, but it was definitely present and the tanginess of the slaw balanced it all out nicely. This might be a better option for those who are more adventurous foodis. For $4.50, it was a decent portion, very tasty, and worth a try. I will be getting this dish a few more times before the festival ends.
