Earth Eats: IMPOSSIBLE Cottage Pie

Posted on September 25, 2019September 25, 2019 by Theme Park Anthropologist

Over at the Earth Eats food booth, you’ll find two vegan options at the 2019 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.  Here, you can choose from an IMPOSSIBLE Cottage Pie or an IMPOSSIBLE Burger. I enjoyed the burger last year and was happy that it returned again.  So, I was super excited that they added another all vegan option to the menu. The IMPOSSIBLE Cottage Pie had a nice texture to it. It wasn’t dry, and I seriously thought the mashed cauliflower were mashed potatoes (I can never get enough mashed potatoes in my life).  I think I liked the deceptive cauliflower the most in the dish. Everything else was good, but I felt like it was lacking something. Maybe something like fennel seeds or pepper could have given it a bit of a kick to make it a more memorable dish for me. Although, it is a great alternative for people who aren’t adventurous enough to try the wasabi burger, but still want to try a plant-based option that closely resembles a comfort food. Overall, it is tasty choice for only $5.
